Organized by National Council for Gender Equality, with support from UNDP, UN Women and UNFPA, on 14.02.2016 in Skopje, the international event V-Day "One Billion Rising to End Violence against Women" took place.

On this day, women with a dance encourage each other, activate, mobilize and gather to raise their voice against gender based violence. The movement "One Billion Rising" started in 2012, after the publication of the statistic by the United Nations that one in three women during their lifetime will be victim of some type of gender based violence.
